Venmar CES Inc. is seeking a Permanent Full-time Product Checkout Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for verification of unit specifications; for electrical and functional testing of completed units, and for trouble shooting, ensuring that non-conformances are resolved as well as other assembly tasks as required on the line.

Knowledge:
- Completion of Grade 12.
- Completion of a college diploma program in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent work experience in HVAC manufacturing or service industry

As the ideal candidate, you possess the following:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial)
- Experience in LEAN or DFT Manufacturing principles
- Two years experience in a manufacturing role
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Inventor would be considered an asset
- Working knowledge of materials, machine tools, and/or manufacturing processes
- Previous working knowledge of an MRP or ERP system would be considered an asset

Description of Position:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you would be responsible for improving manufacturing efficiency and product quality by working closely with management. In addition you would be responsible to ensure that the work environment follows health & safety standards. The Manufacturing Engineer will also work closely with R & D with new product development and to ensure smooth transitions to the manufacturing assembly lines. Applying DFT (Demand Flow Technology) principles (similar to LEAN), you will be responsible to increase production efficiencies and look for opportunities for continuous improvement in the overall manufacturing process.
